Industrialization and World War I
The Industrial Revolution played a huge role into World War I. Due to industrialization, many countries were able to mechanize. The Industrial Revolution allowed countries to make more weapons for their armies because they had more efficient technology to make advanced weapons. From mechanization, factories could make more weapons much faster than before Industrialization. Also, countries made a large amount of money from the sale of weapons that funded their armies even farther than before. Mass Production played a huge part in the beginning of World War I. The mass production of the weapons allowed for the country to have a huge army which could ultimately lead them to victory. Since the new technology from industrialization was so advanced and destructive, many armies had to go to trench warfare for defensive purposes. The Industrial Revolution played the biggest part in the beginning of World War I because mechanization caused new machines and technology to make highly destructive weapons for the Great War.
